Wed 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM
4 sessions ending Wed, Feb 8
Topic: Business Basics

Is the idea of preparing a business plan overwhelming?

Whether you’ve been in business for years, or are imagining starting your own business, a plan can serve as your compass. It can help you to tell your story, to articulate your goals, and to design the actions that will help you get there.

We will approach this lean planning process mindfully, in a low pressure, creative manner through independent prompts and responses to get the juices flowing.

You’ll receive 1-2 prompts per week delivered to your inbox that will complement your independent work, the larger group discussion and partner conversations that will all contribute to your plan.

Some of the topics we will address include:

  • Your “WHY” of business,

  • Your Day to Day that will help you imagine the operations of your business.

  • Your business story in numbers.

Through small group discussion and independent exercises, you will develop an authentic plan that reflects your vision, intention and actions towards creating a viable business filled with passion AND profit.

After four sessions, you’ll have articulated the ideas that will serve as your guide or help you move further towards a more detailed plan. During our final session, we will share ideas, challenges, and inspirations – and congratulate all for taking the important first step in business planning.

Sessions will take place via Zoom each week.

Session Dates:

January 18th 11:00am-12:00pm

January 25th 11:00am-12:00pm

February 1st 11:00am-12:00pm

February 8th 11:00am-12:00pm

If a session has to be cancelled due to a snow day, you will receive an email from rachel.rathburn@ceimaine.org by 8am on the day of the session notifying you of the change. If so, the final session will occur on February 15th 11:00am-12:00pm.
